Sorby Midi Multi-Tip Shear Scraper

This tool from Sorby is a smaller version of the Multi-Tip Scraper. It is used for hollowing end grain, or shear scraping on boxes and smaller end grain turnings. The shank is made from round steel with a 1/2″ wide flat on one side for stability during hollowing. The other face is rounded to facilitate shear scraping to get a smooth cut that requires little sanding.

Included are two 1/8″ wide high speed steel cutters. One with a rounded end, the other with a pointed end. Also included is a teardrop scraper blade for shear scraping. The shank length is 7″ and comes fitted with a 10″ Ash Handle.
