Packard Captive Ring Tool – 3/8”

These tools are used to make rings that are loose, yet remain captured by the
workpiece. Captive Rings are often added for decoration on goblets or
weed pots and other spindle work. This design has a bevel on both sides
to allow you to shape the rings and separate them from the workpiece using
only one tool. You can use the Bead Forming Tools to shape the top of
the ring. The Captive Ring tools are made of M2 high speed steel and are
sharpened using a Diamond Hone or slip stone.
